Forget Thanos, the Joker, and Darth Vader. The most despicable supervillain in cinema history is none other than Feathers McGraw, the beady-eyed, felonious, fake fowl. This notorious penguin, last seen rotting in jail at the end of Aardman Animations’ BAFTA and Academy Award-winning 1993 short The Wrong Trousers, made a brief cameo at the end of Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. Now, thirty years later, he’s back! The pernicious penguin who scoffs at the law is set to return in the im-peck-ably titled Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl. Catch a sneak peek of the film, which will release simultaneously on Netflix and the BBC this Christmas, below:
Netflix and Aardman have unveiled the synopsis for their upcoming feature-length stop-motion film, “Vengeance Most Fowl.” In this adventure, Gromit becomes increasingly worried about Wallaceβs reliance on his inventions. His concern proves valid when Wallace creates a βsmart gnomeβ that develops a malevolent mind of its own. As chaos ensues, Gromit must overcome his reservations and confront the sinister forces at play to save Wallaceβs inventive spirit. This film offers a sharp commentary on modern technology and the rise of artificial intelligence.

Ben Whitehead, an Aardman regular known for his work in The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists and Early Man, will lead the voice cast of Vengeance Most Fowl as Wallace. Following the passing of the iconic Peter Sallis in 2017, Whitehead has voiced the beloved cheese-loving inventor in several projects. However, this will be his first feature-length appearance in the role. Joining him will be Peter Kay, who will reprise his Curse of the Were-Rabbit role as Chief Inspector Mackintosh. The cast also includes franchise newcomers Lauren Patel, Reece Shearsmith, Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh, and Lenny Henry.
In a recent press release about the latest update on Vengeance Most Fowl, Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park excitedly announced the return of Feathers McGraw. Park shared, “The question I get asked most frequently by fans is whether Feathers McGraw, the original antagonist from The Wrong Trousers, will ever make a comeback. After 30 years, we felt the time was right to bring him back. We’ve enjoyed featuring him in cameo roles, but now it’s time for a more substantial return.”
Get ready for a groundbreaking cinematic experience with the emergence of a fresh genre: “Gnome Noir.” Director Park expresses enthusiasm, stating, “Weβre hoping that this film will appeal to fans of βGnome Noirβ everywhere.” The anticipation builds as audiences await the return of Feathers since his escapades in “The Wrong Trousers.” With Feathers on the loose once more, viewers will be on the edge of their seats, anticipating what mischief he’ll stir up next.
